Year Up

We’ve partnered with Year Up since 2014, a nonprofit organization that provides low-income 18- to 24-year-old young adults with access to training, work experiences, support, and guidance. To date, the Workday Foundation has invested more than $2 million in Year Up, and we have hosted 48 Year Up interns at Workday.

Meet Fay, who came to the United States from Egypt and struggled to find a thriving-wage job. We helped fund JVS’s tech training programs, which helped Fay find a permanent position and gave her the skills and training she needed to get and keep her job.

Girls Who Code

With Girls Who Code, we host a summer immersion program where high-school-aged girls are introduced to the world of computer science. We’re funding coding and technical classes to help close the gender gap in technology.

Disaster Relief

When human-caused or natural disasters strike and impact our communities, the Workday Foundation has made a commitment to support people during a time of need. With grants from the Workday Foundation, we provide proactive financial support to organizations that are preparing, responding to, and rebuilding communities.

Through our support of Habitat for Humanity, the American Red Cross, Mercy Corps, and Direct Relief, we’re able to help fund important initiatives that provide people with the safety and stability they need to prepare for a disaster before it happens, or after a disaster has impacted their homes and communities. With these grants, we’re helping to provide shelter assistance, access to supplies and toiletries, meals, healthcare, education, training, and more to those affected. And our commitments don’t stop there.

Through the Workday Employee Disaster Relief Fund, we help Workmates who experience significant financial hardship as a result of a qualified natural disaster. Funded through the Workday Foundation, the program provides cash grants to help Workmates bridge the financial gap caused by times of crisis.

And when unforeseen expenses come up due to a qualified disaster—such as natural disasters or other government-declared emergencies, terrorist attacks, or other—we provide short-term assistance as a one-time grant to cover those unexpected costs.
